How this works
The bands are the 10th, 50th and 90th percentile monthly prices from Lightyear's 2026 benchmark of more than a million quotes on 36-month terms. We place your price between them.
We don't adjust for your state or contract term. The public data can't support an honest adjustment: state averages from school contracts swing widely depending on which carrier dominates, and nobody publishes a clean term discount. Your contract term is used only to total up how much you'd save or overspend.
The single biggest factor is whether your building is already on a carrier's fiber. Only a real quote for your address settles that.
